Built in 1932, the Art Deco-styled Alameda Theatre was the last movie palace built in the Bay Area. Remodeled and retrofitted with an expansion in 2008, it is now an 8-screen multiplex with a large historic theatre featuring state-of-the-art motion picture and sound technology.
