great price, no frills:
my dog means a lot to me . he's the best thing that ever happened to me . that being said, I just can't afford other chain vet bills . I don't have to pay for gratuitous dog treats and smiling secretaries in scrubs here . Doc Mallernee is a nice guy . he does ask to be paid up front but this way you know exactly what your visit will cost and he doesn't have to raise his charges to cover for people who don't pay their bills . he's a one man, no frills operation . he isn't going to kiss up to you . he's going to take good care of your pet . and he's not going to try to up sell you on services that are unnecessary and expensive . if you want an office full of nice ladies and someone who will baby you, go somewhere else .

Caring Vet - Good Prices.:
Dr. Malernee is an experienced vet. He offers $30 office visits and has the best rates in Delray / Boca. He has seen our Pomeranian for seven years now without any issues. He offers service 24/7/365 and even accepts emergency calls at any time on any holiday.

I believe he charges $30 for an office visit and additional fees for any services rendered that are not included in his office fee visit (i.e. a flea treatment).

BEWARE!!! Worst Veterinary Experience Ever:
I took my cat to Atlantic Animal Hospital, in Delray for a check up and flea meds. On the phone the owner/vet Art Malernee told me it was $30 and to bring paperwork from my previous vet. I got to his office, filled out paperwork, he asked me questions about Halo and then asked how I was paying. He charged $41 on my CC for the visit and 1 flea treatment. After I paid, I asked him that while he did the exam, if he could take a look at my cat’s right side because I noticed a lump. He told me it would cost more money. I felt confused because It seemed as if he was not even going to look at my cat. I then asked "So are you not going to give my cat an exam? what was the $30 for?" He stated "The visit includes reviewing paperwork and writing a prescription for flea meds.

I was taken advantage of and knew that know I was out $30 and now have to repay that to a different vet to have Halo seen again. I called him after I got home and expressed my concerns with his him not rendering the services paid. He refused to pay me back and stated that he did see my cat through her kennel. I told him that I felt taken advantage of and that I would contact the BBB and he said go right ahead.

I should have investigated him before because I would have found multiple negative reviews online and a F rating with the BBB. I hope this review will get people to think twice before going to Atlantic Animal Hospital
