The team at Swaim & Associates is very knowledgeable and extremely professional. I have the privilege of knowing Robert Swaim outside of the tax world and he's a great guy all around, so it's no surprise that he would run his company with the same zeal and enthusiasm that he leads his life.
I've had my taxes prepared here for several years and it's been a huge relief, especially considering as I've grown up so have my tax needs. Changing jobs, 401(k)'s, and purchasing my first home were confusing enough, not to mention the interest that the IRS takes in all of those things. I referred my father here a few years ago and he's been very happy each year (trust me, his situation is much more confusing since he owns several properties/homes, has my college aged sister as a dependent in one of the homes, plus my mother who he recently remarried).
Accountants like it best when you deal with the "bottom line" and the bottom line here is that you get professional tax service from the most knowledgeable people in the southeast. Their fees can get high depending on your needs, but it's money well spent (especially if it saves you from an audit).

Laurie Attaway has joined the firm and they are expanding, so name of firm has changed slightly, but contact details on yelp listing are still accurate.
I was very pleased with Laurie's thoroughness with exhausting every possible legal deduction I was entitled to claim as a new homeowner this past year (alas, in the end I could not qualify for the big federal homeowner tax credits, but before making that determination, she really explored all of the possible ways that it might work, but I just flat out did not qualify under the criteria).
Nevertheless, she did find more legal deductions by asking astute questions, which I appreciated very much. The hard copy pre-tax planner that they sent in advance via USPS helps to keep preparation costs down as it reminds you of pertinent earnings details and also lists the documents you used the previous year so you can make sure you have every document you will need at the in person appointment. There is also a battery of questions to answer to help open up discussion points during the meeting.
I am very happy with the team I worked with (Travis and Laurie) plus the results! Absolutely a 5 star professional service provider.
Best accounting experience ever:
This is the second year I have worked with Travis at Attaway Linville CPA for my tax filing(s). It's an entirely different experience working with RRB. They work face to face, over email, and phone so it's not painful to exchange information and documentation. Steve also corrected a few years worth of mishandled depreciation on a rental, and this year after selling the rental--I was rewarded by his proactive (and corrective) measures. There have never been any hidden fees. I don't plan on using another accounting service ever again.
