shady-dangerous:
After the fact, the whole experience seemed shady. I think they knew that I really wanted the car and capitalized on that. I was naive and didn't ask all the questions that I should have. He said a few times that they will "throw the warranty in" and lo and behold, I now have a $1500 warranty tacked on to my loan. The manager never one verbally stated how much the total loan was going to be - only the payment per month.
They also installed new brake pads and rotors which I was impressed with, until the next day the car started making HORRIBLE noises, like the tire was going to fall off. I checked the lug nuts, only to find that they had been hand tightened. I brought it to my local mechanic who fixed me up, but also stated how dangerous this was (considering I was leaving for Chicago the next day). When I called them to inform them of the issue, the receptionist tried to pass the blame by saying a different company did that. Which, is a complete and utter lie.
