I had an accident about two months ago and BDJ Towing from Paterson was called to tow my vehicle. I contacted my insurance company "Geico" and reported the accident immediately. Yesterday the Towing Company called my spouse (owner of the vehicle) with threats that if we didn't pay for the towing costs and storage, they would call the Police to arrest us and have our license suspended. The owner of the towing company was extremely rude and condescending. Watch out for BDJ Towing.. They have contracts with many police departments as their first option. Demand a different towing company.

This towing company BDJ has a scam going on with a local gas station located on east 25th street and 21st ave in Paterson Nj. There is a garage on the side street of the gas station that's part of the station and when the gas station is closed people tend to park there for a few minutes. There is a sign out saying not to park here or you would be towed. But you would never expect that they have a tow truck parked around the corner checking the camera that's posted on the station and linked to their smart phone. As soon as they see a car parked there in less then five minutes the tow company takes your car. They are basically doing illegal "trolling" on a more advance level. The sign that they have out is in violation of the Division of Consumer Affairs. The contact number they have to call is incorrect. The sign that is posted is in adequate. They are suppose to post a sign stating what times you can't park there according to the Divsion of Consumer Affairs along with the Consumer Affairs telephone number which is not posted either. They over charge in towing and storage fees and it's rumored to believe that Paterson Police Department are aware of this illegal operation and get their cut of the revenues the company makes over this illegal towing scam. The business is suppose to except payments of credit cards or debit cards but they only except cash. The invoices are incorrectly filled out. Missing the time when car was towed under who's authorization and amount that was paid to recover the vehicle. That is also in direct violation of the Divison of Consumer Affairs.
