This is the worse contractor I have ever dealt with professionally or personally. Our basement flooded. We were quoted $2500 barring unforeseen circumstances. We were told the cost would be cheaper if we helped remove loose items from the basement. We removed ALL loose items from the basement while Bill Kapura's ServiceMaster dealt with the wet stuff. They installed a huge dehumidifier that failed to work, along with many other blowers and dehumidifiers. We informed them that the dehumidifier didn't work - two days later a guy comes to fix the dehumidifier and in the process of "fixing" it resoaks a part of the carpet. Still, the job was done within a week. They broke a connector to a U-shaped desk moving it. We fixed the desk since it seemed like it was going to be big deal for them to fix it and we needed to keep the price down. Didn't matter because the final invoice was a line item bill for $4791.57. No explanation. We've left three messages - no helpful response (a guy called us to let us know they got our messages, sorry, he can't help, but someone will be calling). We are forwarding our claim to the BBB, the Department of Consumer Protection and the attorney general under the misrepresentation of pricing clause of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act. If you have to use these guys, then keep track of when they come, when they go, what they did, and what equipment was used. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
