World's worst place to get hearing devices:
WORLD'S WORST PLACE TO GET A HEARING DEVICE
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER GO TO THE CAL EAR Institute. This is positively the WORLD'S WORST PLACE TO GO for hearing aids and devices. I had Dr. Roberson work on my ear. He's a good surgeon, NOT AS GOOD AS HE THINKS HE IS but also the world's most arrogant human with the and worst bedside manner imaginable. You can't talk with him on the telephone. He doesn't return correspondence either in letter form or email. In order to speak with him after surgery, you need to make a personal appointment and wait for at least 1/2 hour and he graces you with his presence. Oh, and he charges like $500.00 per hour for the appointment. That's whay he doesn't return calls or mail. His audiologist is a complete incompetent who has absolutely no regard for folks who are hard of hearing. I'm almost deaf in one ear and instead of ordering the device from Oticon, she insisted on sending mine back and waiting almost two weeks for a repair. I would have been without a device for over 2 weeks had we done things her ways. Instead, I called Oticon and they sent a device out the next day and I was never without my device. Because I went directly to Oticon, Roberson dismissed me as a patient. Nice!!
Like I said STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE.
Dr. Jennifer Maw in Cambell is close by and is very approached and runs a terrific office.
