Bloomfield Asthma & Allergy -Very BAD service:
Bloomfield Allergy & Asthma - awful front office staff, very rude and arrogant! It's like they feel entitled. You can't even speak to Roseanne, the office manager because she's always to busy. I called and she was off that day. ha ha ha ha too busy?? or day off?? which was it?

I was referred to this office by my primary care because I need Xolair injections once a month. The first visit 7/11/17, was OK, they were pleasant, I NEVER got to see a doctor only the Physicians Assistant (Steve) who was very nice. They were supposed to get approval from the insurance company for this drug (which they never did) Once approved the drug must be sent to the doctors office then administered in the office.
I called several times over 3 weeks and they kept telling me they are working on the referral for approval. (it also seems no one made notes on my chart when they called to tell me the drug would be there on Friday) I never heard anything and called back again on 7/25/17.
I spoke to two people, the receptionist and a nurse. They were unsure of what they were doing so I got the insurance company involved (Brittany of Horizon). Brittany called the doctors office and explained what they must do and how to fill out paperwork for the pharmacy. About 20 minutes later, the doctor’s office called me back to say everything is done and they will have the injections delivered to them on Friday. I called yesterday, Friday and low & behold it’s not the same staff and no one in the office had any idea of what I was talking about. I spoke to Carmen, a nurse who clearly didn’t want to be bothered with this on a Friday afternoon. She wanted me to call back Tuesday.
I said No I’m already having symptoms from my disease; I’m 3 weeks over the time limit for the injection and cannot get help. I ask for an office manager but they don’t have one there, she told me to call Roseanne and she’s in South Jersey (732-545-0094) ext 8. She told me Roseanne is very busy so when I call I shouldn’t take up too much of her time. OMG, is she kidding me, this is a medical issue and she’s more worried about me taking to much of Roseanne’s time. They are being paid for this visit (WTF Carmen)???
If you were smart you will find a different office, this office NEVER as the same staff on a different day and they are all confused about how to order medicine for a patient. BEWARE~!

Crooks!!:
I had a horrible billing experience. Between 7/2/2015 and 8/10/15 I had about 8 appointments at this office for allergy testing. I saw a doctor once and was billed each time for a doctor visit and testing. That was fine. At EACH of my 8 appointments I asked if I owe a balance and was told no. When I went to the office on 8/20/15 I was told I owe $900 immediately for all of my visits (I am insured, $900 went against my deductible). It was a Saturday morning and I was forced to call their billing office from the waiting room. I did. Billing told me a bill was sent, it never was. Then billing told me that the bill was just sent a few days ago because they just learned from my insurance my tests would costs me that much money. If they just learned it would cost me that much why was I being billed for 100% "immediately" instead of for each appointment at a time over a longer period of time? Come September 20, I received a collection notice for this full amount. My credit score is 720, I have never missed a payment on anything in my life. I make $900 in 2 days, I don't care about the money - I care about the ethics. These people are crooks. I feel like they continued to tell me I didn't owe anything until my deductible was exhausted because if I saw a $200 charge billed to me per appointment I would have switched to a cheaper allergist or stopped testing! They ran up the bill and hid the costs, and then at exactly 30 days from when THEY found out about the charges (not me) they sent it to collections. Calling their office to come up with a payment plan or discuss results in attitude from their employees. I would NEVER use this office again and they should be shut down for unethical business practices.
