Discount Towing and Auto Repair

I wasn't a fan of the customer service at this place BEFORE it changed ownership 9 months ago but now it's become downright hostile towards customers since the guy who took over has hired all his punk/thug friends. I actually called the police after they threatened to keep my car after trying to charge me $100 to replace spark plugs (without a prior estimate or telling me they were going to charge this in advance) and $40 to tow my car. It took them TWO WEEKS and several phone calls from me where they assured me they were coming to get it before they finally came. Good thing I work from home. I only had them get it because the car hasn't run right since THEY last worked on it and I was trying to give them an opportunity to check their work before taking it somewhere else and having to pursue them if it turned out they screwed up on the original repair. Their advice to me after I complained to them about how long it took to get the car and the outrageous price they were charging to replace spark plugs without quoting that kind of cost in advance, not to mention the rude customer service and nasty attitudes of his employees was to go somewhere else. That was from the owner. Trust me, that we would go elsewhere was already a foregone conclusion. While in the office listening to them take calls I was also listening to how they talked to each other about customers they were leaving stranded in the snow and how some woman "kept calling, crying about how she was stuck waiting over two hours in the snow for a tow". This is how this company views their customers. They also tried to insist on cash, claiming the credit machine was down. When i told them i didn't trust them with cash and would write a check the machine miraculously worked but by them I was dialing the police. Got my car back, I will not return.
I have never seen a company that I actually felt unsafe as a customer of theirs...I am glad I didn't go there alone and I would not recommend going there alone, I agree with the other poster, go in a group if you have to deal with this company, hopefully you never have to!

Caution. The nature of this company is hostile. Prepare to be approached by various unidentifiable employees who will berate you and funnel you towards an inner location. Supposed Video Surveillance is in effect; one should not consider this a 'safe' place and it is advisable to go in a group. No one can guarantee your safety (economic or otherwise) at this business.
