Tips
Know Before You Go: The zoo closes during "inclement weather." If it's raining, chances are you won't get in. Otherwise, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are the only days the zoo is closed.

Visit the Oakland Zoo in the California Bay Area. A center for wildlife conservation, visitors can also plan family day trips, bring your children to our summer camp program, and interact with all the wild animals. Oakland Zoo will work with schools to coordinate science field trips along with other on-site educational programs.
