Elysium Antiques is located at 25 W Main St in Somerville and has been in the business of Antiques since 2010.

One of the vendors listed a Harptone guitar that needed $350 to $400 worth of work on craigslist, which I realized when I saw the guitar with mile high action, a sanded down bridge, a lose brace, and some missing appointments. The listing said they wanted $275 for it. I spoke with him and confirmed this the night before and again in the morning. After I got there, he told me they don't open until 11. I waited an hour, and went in to find the guitar needed work, but was still a decent buy. I figured I could go as high as $350 before losing money. Of course, the vendor didn't meet me, and the kid behind the counter said he was asking $750, which for this model, is the high side sales price when in perfect original condition!! When I told him about craigslist, he said "I know him. He would NEVER sell this for that price. It must be an imposter. Do you know how many people put stuff we sell here on craigslist and try to sell it to people?". I figured maybe it was someone like that, but I called the guy, and he called the kid working as a clerk. After a few minutes of them talking, the clerk never looks up and says "$500". I said "No thanks" and left. Of course, the vendor stopped answering his phone. I won't post his entire number, but will post part so people will recognize it on craigslist. He also sells coins he said. Like I said, "You could have had rave reviews had you been honest. To waste my time and gas money only to do that bait and switch was just wrong, and although I have never left a negative review on anything in my life, I will make this one exception. 732-604-834x
