Empire Steak House Restaurant Review:
With owners who worked a combined two decades at Brooklyn steak institution Peter Luger and who founded the mini steakhouse chain Ben & Jack’s, it’s safe to say any hungry carnivore is in good hands at Empire Steak House. Sip a martini or a glass of wine (there are nearly 350 different options, including a handful by the glass) and peruse a menu of appetizers, seafood and, of course, steak....
Created by the prominent founders of Ben And Jack's, Empire Steak House offers one of the best prime beef dishes out there, the porterhouse. The delicious seafood dishes also deserve a lot of attention, from the fresh Chilean sea bass to the Norwegian salmon, and topping off the menu, a delicious and tender 4 lb lobster. All are complemented with a variety of side dishes such as German potatoes...
Carnivores commend the "tender", "top-notch" steaks at this "busy" chophouse from the Ben & Jack's folks, "conveniently located" near Rock Center; "attentive" service contributes to the generally "pleasant" vibe, even if the decor doesn't rise above "standard Midtown." A new outpost of the meatery is located inside the Hilton Midtown with a separate entrance on 54th Street.
