Not what was advertised or promised:
I recently ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife while I was out of town. I was told over the phone that the tulips that were listed for the arrangement I wanted were no longer available, but that they would substitute roses instead. I agreed as I thought that was a fair deal.
The flower arrangement was delivered, but when I returned home from my trip, I discovered that not only had they not included the promised roses, but the vase that was used was not the one that was pictured on the web site. I had specifically chosen this arrangement because I knew my wife would like that specific vase.
I called the 1-800 number for Flowers Express and explained that I did not receive what I had been promised, and they had no good response for me. They asked me what I wanted them to do. I told them that I didn't know what could be done, since the flowers had already been delivered. But, I felt that they should know that I had been mislead and did not receive what I had paid for. I also told them that I would not be ordering flowers from them again.
They simply responded, "OK", and that was the end of the call. They made no offer to make up the cost difference or to do anything at all to keep my business.
This is very disappointing. I would like to support local businesses, especially during these tough economic times, but I will not send any business to this company.
