On March 31th 2011 I was traveling westbound on interstate I4 at approximately 1715 hours. During that time the traffic was extremely heavy, all three lanes were occupied by other vehicles’ and the rain was hindering the ability to travel at the normal posted speed. I was in the far left lane travelling approximately 60 miles an hour while maintaining a safe distance to the vehicle in front of me. I noticed a work truck approaching my vehicle from the rear. The truck got so close to my bumper that I was unable to see the vehicles’ headlights. Being that there was no available lane to merge over too, I remained in the left lane. Upon the vehicles’ passing I took note of the company’s name and number and called it in immediately. When I spoke to the gentleman who answered, I explained that the driver was tailgating and insisted to speak to a manager, who was unavailable at that time. I suggested that I would call and complain the next business day. Shortly after hanging up it is my belief that the person I made contact with on the phone made radio with the truck. It was only moments later when the truck that was now in front of me and in a different lane, slowed down to point of being next to my vehicle and began honking his horn. The truck then proceeded to get behind my vehicle and began flashing his lights and following the same pathway that I was travelling. Having a fiancé with small two children in the vehicle and fearing their safety I exited interstate I4 and proceeded west on county road 434. Unsure if truck was truly following me or just exiting at 434 I made a right turn onto Markham Woods road. This would now cause me to head back in the direction opposite to the trucks original direction of origin. I then proceeded to notify Longwood Police department as we were nearing their jurisdiction. After making a right onto E.E Williamson I noticed the truck make a sharp right turn into an empty parking lot that had no occupied businesses. I made a turn into a nearby animal clinic to give the officer the coordinates and location. While maintaining eye contact with the truck I determined that the truck was awaiting my next move. After approximately two minutes the truck turned around in the opposite direction, back onto E.E Williamson heading toward Markham Woods road. As I pulled back out in order to maintain eye contact so that I could inform law enforcement as to the vehicles’ direction of travel the truck stopped in the middle of a busy road and remained there, even during a green light. Keeping my fiancés and two children’s safety in mind, I make a U-turn and head in the opposite direction.

The next day, instead of calling, I personally went to Gary Munson’s Heating and Air in attempts to make contact with Gary Munson who again was unavailable. I informed the secretary of the situation and insisted a call from Gary Munson personally. I left both my name and contact information and as of Thursday April 7, 2011 I have yet to receive a telephone call.

While I am not a customer and this complaint is not business related I feel that this is extremely unprofessional and more importantly dangerous that workers of this nature are operating a business in this manner. Again, the owner made no effort to contact me, or follow up with my concerns or complaint. The question then becomes, what other unlawful and unprofessional actions are occurring? A complaint was also filed with the BBB as well as with channel 9 news.
