The Golden Spoon story began in 1981 as an outgrowth of "Yogurt and Things," a health food store in Tustin, California acquired by Golden Spoon founder Jeff Barnes in 1980. Within a year, Barnes opted to leave the "Things" behind and focus solely on frozen yogurt with the goal of creating a more broadly appealing, and healthier frozen dessert than anything available on the market at the time....
