This casual American eatery, located in the Renaissance Hotel Chicago, is dependable any time of day. The view overlooking the Chicago River doesn't hurt, either. The breakfast and lunch buffet is a big timesaver. Reservations are accepted all day.

Just off the lobby of the Renaissance Chicago Hotel, this very long, very thin hotel cocktail lounge features live jazz six nights a week (starting at 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday).
