LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HLMAA! My son has been taking classes here for 4 years and started when he was just 3. Sensei Arthur is an amazing teacher and a wonderful example of a kind and caring human being. He and the other Sensei's have a way of reaching the children and teaching them important life lessons at an age-appropriate level and in a FUN way! My son Loves going to class here and has great self-confidence and discipline thanks to all his time spent here.

We can't thank Sensei Arthur and his team enough for the huge impact they are making on our son's development. He has transformed from a shy, insecure child who was afraid to complete the free 1:1 new student evaluation to now, 1 1/2 years later being in the black belt prep program, taking 3 classes per week, practicing at home and taking advantage of all the wonderful "extras" and camps offered. Love this place.

Hands of Life Martials Arts is one of the few schools on the East coast that is teaches the art of Ryu-Te that was founded by Taika Oyata. I'm 58 years old and have been an active adult member of Hands of Life Martial Arts for the past 4 1/2 years, and I can say from first hand experience that the school is outstanding in every way from the facility, to the instruction, to the comraderie of the membership. Sensei Arthur Hearns is 5th degree and truly dedicated to learning and teaching the art Ryu-Te, and the same can be said of the other high level adult instructors. Hands of Life Martial Arts is an academy of inspiration and motivation to students of all ages. We specialize in building confidence and teaching energetic and dynamic classes. We have classes for ages 2.5 - 70(actual student age!) Our instructors are great with children!
