Over Priced...prices are too High:
Took my truck to Hillcrest Automotive to price a basic tune up which included spark plugs, wires, first it took them 2 hours to call me back and they quoted me a price of almost $360. to 400.00 dollars..Their prices are extremely high..they are a money hungry company who takes advantage of their customers. they mark up their parts 5 times of what you would pay at the auto part store..spark plugs at autozone 1.99 each or 12.00 for six...same spark plugs they charge 50.00 plus dollars..just ridiculous...so of course I didn't let them do the work..went somewhere else got a good price for the tune up...then they sent me a survey asking how was their service...I told them that their prices were too high and that I wasn't satisfied and would not use their services.....the owner sent me a text message back to my personal email..mad because I had made a negative comment about their service...very confrontational and unprofessional ...don't ask me for my opinion and then get an attitude..Prices are Too high!!!!

Superior service - worth paying (only a small amount more) for:
Just received my truck back from the kind staff at Hillcrest Automotive, which was my second time using them for major maintenance since I moved to Mobile one year ago. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with them. They are extremely accurate with their time estimates, which helps immensely when I only have one day to drop my truck off and get it back in the same day. They truly do treat my truck as if it were their own; recommending less expensive parts if they know the items are still of quality and recommending the more expensive part if they know it will be worth it in the long run. The technicians engage with you more than any other shop I've been to, and even sent me a couple of photos of items they were working on to ask if I wanted them replaced or not. You can take your vehicle to a quick in-and-out chain, or you can support your local, friendly business which is well represented by the folks at HA. For a business like this, their prices are still comparable to what you would pay at the seemingly "cheaper" alternatives. Thanks to everyone at HA for the great tech support and for making this customer feel at home in Mobile.
