Hogges is best! They fix your system make it work!:
Mr. Hogges earned my in wavering respect the day that I called him out for service 18 years ago. I had previously called out and PAID 2 other local septic big name companies only to have things working so so. After two failures from other companies and ready to give up I called hogges and spoke to a wonderful young lady who told me that her dad would look at the system and show me what was wrong and actually FIX it. To my complete shock and well earned awe mr. Hogges with complete confidence showed me that other septic people just draw the water off and leave you with a malfunctioning system. Mr. Hogges removed the grease clog literally placing it on the ground in front of me. He then used his revolutionary invention to back draw all of the lines pulling out any and all clogs and told me that he could tell that the system would work just fine and gave me pointers on how to keep system functioning well and properly. It was like having brand new system installed, completely unbelievable and just awesome! Needless to say I have continued use hogges for decades. Mr. Hogge senior sadly passed away last decade but his Son has carried on the awesome family tradition of offering unparalleled septic system service and repair. Yes I would recommend hogges to a friend and to absolutely anyone with a septic system.

Always great!:
I've been using Hogge Septic for about 25 years. They have always been thorough and polite. They came again today and as always, I am pleased with my service.

Extremely rude!!!!:
I wish I would have read the other review before calling Hogges Septic! What a mistake! I couldn't agree more with the rude and incompetent title in the last review. I didn't want to give the one star, but unfortunately the review will not submit without at least one star. We were in an urgent situation when our pump alarm went off and called Hogges, explained what was going on, and they sent someone out the next day. After showing up and taking one look at it the technician explained that he was not qualified to work on it, then charged us $100 for a "service fee". My husband called the office to discuss the service fee. The SECRETARY was extremely rude, yelling that it cost them $100 to send someone out there (it is exactly 8 miles from their office to my home). He asked to speak with a supervisor, and he was hung up on. I then called and she was immediately raising her voice and informed me that she doesn't have a supervisor and her fiance' was the owner. She then said that the owner was aware of the situation and would not speak to us. She then threatened to take us to court. On top of not being able to work on a septic pump (aren't they a septic business?), they charge you $100 for simply showing up, along with classless irate yelling. Not a legitimate business if you ask me. Take my word for it and steer clear!!!!!

Rude, Incompetent:
Hogge's has the rudest, most incompetent scheduling secretary of any business I've ever used. I scheduled an inspection for a home I was purchasing. The crew showed up at my current address instead of the address I was purchasing. They also showed up three days early. The scheduling secretary blamed me for this mistake, though I would not schedule a septic inspection for an apartment on city sewer. Three days later I waited at the correct address. Coordinating an appointment at a time convenient for the current homeowner, her Realtor, my Realtor, and myself was not easy. The appointment time came and went. I called to see where they were, and the secretary told me they would be there2.5 hours after my appointment. I was frustrated, but agreed to wait for the crew since I really needed this inspection done in order for the home purchase to proceed. 2.5 hours came and went. I called to cancel the appointment and try my luck with another company. The scheduling secretary cursed at me, told me the crew was on its way and if I didn't keep the appointment I would be billed $100 cancellation fee. If I refused to pay it the company would put a lien on the house. When I said, "That's ridiculous," I was hung up on. As I was driving away from the property the crew arrived. I kept the appointment. The actual crew was very nice, courteous, and knowledgeable. I would rate the crew four stars, but the overall experience with the company was so negative that I cannot
