Permanency of a Tattoo is an important decision.:
When making a choice to have a permanent tattoo it would be wise not to solely consider an artist by their work online. The work can be outdated by years. Also, it is wise only to consider recent reviews from customers, not customers with tattoos from years prior. Also, not just one review... but you should consider several. Tattoos are permanent. Already having been tattooed I visited this shop on a recommendation from a church member. I was also trusting in the pictures/work posted, and the fact that the owner had a long standing in the business with three shops. I have considered for over a year whether to post this review and I have decided that people should know my experience so they do not end up in my situation. The owner was very kind, however he tattooed me while he was drunk. I realized at the end of my first session after several hours and hardly any work done, that the work was crooked. It was at the end of the session I realized that the water with ice was in fact straight alcohol. At my second session I waited well over an hour and obviously the owner, was drinking downstairs while I waited, as he smelled of alcohol again, however appeared ok. I showed him an actual picture on my computer of what I wanted. I asked him to fix my crooked lines on my crosses. He did outlines which appeared to be what I wanted, but colored in the wrong areas. The work was poor, not at all like the picture and when I asked him he said he was doing it for my particular tattoo. Again, he was sweating, and p@!s drunk. He ended the session again, with 4-5 hours there and hardly any work done. I WALKED AROUND FOR A YEAR HIDING MY LEG THROUGH THE SUMMER BECAUSE THIS WAS AN ADDITION TO AN EXISTING TATTOO AND TO COVER IT I WOULD HAVE TO COVER MY ENTIRE LOWER LEG. It was a difficult task to find someone to fix it the best they can. $400 it cost to make my leg acceptable. I love the cover up, but all of the bad work could not be covered. ... and now I have a partial sleeve on my leg. The owner was also unprofessional on another level, but I will keep that private, because it has nothing to do with the work. It is my understanding from other's experience that this owner has done this in the past, and tattoos while highly intoxicated at times. THIS IS PERMANENT AND EXPENSIVE. That was MY leg, my body. During the second visit I kindly discussed the issues with the owner. The owner would not talk to me when I cancelled my third appointment and tried to explain to him again why I could not return. He hung up on me and totally ignored me after that. This is not professional and is wrong on so many levels. I just want people to be careful of their decisions. My tattoo was fixed and I am happy with it. Thank you to RANDY PRAUSE ... for the awesome job he did on my leg. I'm glad I put my trust in you.
