As Jovita's is really a restaurant, the music takes place during reasonable hours, usually around 8pm. The Cornell Hurd Band and Harry Bodine Trio are regulars.

Jovita's is part Mexican restaurant, part nightclub, part Mexican-American cultural center. The food is okay, not great, but it's quite the place to sip a margarita while watching some of the best acts in town -- mostly country but also some Latin groups.
