You've got to give it to Chris LaRocca. This guy knows food. LaRocca heads up the restaurant development company, Culinary Architects, the same group that brought us Sage and Triumph Grill. Sage and Triumph are some of the best restaurants in town, so it stands to reason Kota would be good. It is. In fact, Kota's better than good. It's easily one of the best, most creative new restaurants in town.

Kota uses a variety ingredients and cooking techniques to offer a widely eclectic menu. Our chef strives to serve fresh and familiar dishes, with an elegant twist. Kota is a name given to a technique of starting a fire by rubbing sticks together. Our style of cooking is a lighter, South Coast style with the majority of our offerings coming from a wood fire grill.
