Cosmetic surgery requires courage and the idea of a facelift was a bit scary and overwhelming until I met Dr. Delgado and his team. Having visited two other cosmetic surgeons I new I had found something special from the moment I entered Dr. Delgado's office. The people there were happy and friendly and made me feel they were there to help me in the process of making the right decision for me. When I met Dr. Delgado and listened to him describe what he felt would help me achieve my goals and change what I did not like about my aging face, I knew I had found my doctor. He even told me that I did not need a chin implant and explained how the lower and mid facelift procedures would eliminate what I did not like about my neck and lower face without the implant. In addition to the lower and mid facelift, my 13 hour facelift included an endoscopic brow lift, rhinoplasty, blephorplasty, dermal lip augmentation, and the evening out of my ears. I stayed overnight in the recovery room in the beautiful, modern Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center and never had to be in the hospital for my surgery procedure which was a priority for me. I liked the fact that Dr. Delgado has worked with Dr. Gaynor, his anesthesiologist for the past 10 years and has had the same team of nurses which allows Dr. Delgado to maintain the high quality of care that is provided from the initial consultation through my last post operative visit. I experienced some intense swelling for the first 36 hours following my facelift which isn't that common. Dr. Delgado stayed right with me, managing the swelling and pain that accompanied it not just with medication but with the use of pain blocks every 4-6 hours. At one point he even had me remain in one of his examining rooms during one of his surgery days so he could be sure my swelling and pain were under control. I healed beautifully after this episode. Almost two years later I love the results of my facelift everyday! The trust I have in Dr. Delgado's abilities and the fact that he cares about his patients to the point of not being satisfied with his work until you are illustrates his integrity and commitment to his patients and their happiness.
