terrible service:
We leased a Hasler WJ150 mailing machine from National Mailing Systems. From the beginning it has not sealed our envelopes reliably. After a few service calls failed to fix the machine, I emailed the salesperson who sold it to me to let him know I was having problems and I needed help. He wrote back in all caps and he told me that there is no reason why the machine should be having this problem and I should just contact the service department again. They told me our envelopes were not right (even though the our previous machine sealed them with no problem), so I searched for envelopes with a different type of flap, which the machine handled a little better, but still not great, so everytime we need to stock our printed envelopes I have to special order them through our printer. Then, they brought us a replacement of the section of the machine that seals because it was their floor model and it ran a little slower. It worked better (still not 100%) for a while, but started acting up again. They told us they could sell us a replacement part, which we demanded for free. That did not work either. We went through 2 years of begging them to fix the machine, we left messages for the service manager to call us back, but he never did. I kept telling the service department that I just can't take this anymore, I need the machine to work. They'd send out the techinician, he'd come in before I got to work, and he'd leave and the machine would still not work. I filled out the customer surveys telling them how unhappy I was, but no one showed the least bit of concern. My last ditch effort was to contact Hasler directly via email and give them the history and ask them to do something about it or I would have to replace the machine. No one responded until I called the NMS maintenance for the last time to tell them to come and get the machine because I had replaced it with a Pitney Bowes machine that works perfectly, seals 100% of my envelopes. Suddenly I am getting calls from the salesperson and one of the co-owners of the company telling me I have a 60 month contract with them that says I cannot get rid of their machine. I told them that I signed a contract for a machine that seals envelopes, which theirs does not, so they violated the contract. For days we have been arguing on the phone and now we have to get our lawyers involved. National Mailing Systems is a horrible company because the contract seems to inspire complacency in them and an utter disregard for the customer or fair practices.
