A sister to Alioto's No. 8, this venue is a little more casual and lower in price than its famous upstairs sibling. Unfortunately, the offerings are hit-and-miss. Skip the gummy crab cakes and amateurish cioppino. The spinach salad is well-made, and the grilled fish is fine. Desserts are gooey which, depending on the whim of the diner, may be a plus or a minus.
