Olives has lost a bit of its mystique. Celebrity chef-owner Todd English, busy with other ventures around the country, is seldom on hand. The bistro cuisine that was cutting-edge a decade ago is no longer a great adventure. Even accepting reservations -- a new policy after years of complaints -- compromised the aura that surrounds a red-hot dining destination.
