Clean and kind at a price, left in tears:
I understand medication regulations are in place for a reason, and are enforced to discourage addiction; but what kind of condition do you have to be in to get a lousy Vicodin prescription? I'm no stranger to dental work, it is hard to articulate the extensive and invasive procedures I've had to endure since as long as I can remember. Today I had to see an oral surgeon at this particular facility since it is the only one nearest to where I live, and as I write this review my skull feels like it is 10 times its normal size due to the infection above my canine tooth. I feel the only thing this place cared about was how I was going to pay them, and every time an option for my care was brought up they were real quick to inform me that was going to cost extra. My tooth needs to be extracted, and its in an area that poses a cosmetic issue so I'm not too quick to rush into removing it especially since they wanted an outrageous amount of money to do it. All I wanted was to be relieved of my excruciating pain (which I'm still currently in) and some antibiotics until I could work out a feasible financial plan, instead I was informed they couldn't write me a script for anything stronger than motrin unless THEY performed an invasive procedure. Why is it so hard to advocate for myself when there is clinically objective evidence that there is a source of pain? It is inhumane, and I would go as far to call the doctor a monster for further subjecting me to treatable discomfort. It isn't a surprise people resort to street drugs, I had to go to a head shop and buy expensive herbal pain relief medication that isn't very effective for someone with my tolerance. I just hope the amoxicillin kicks in and clears this infection so I can muster up the pain-free ability to find a dental plan. My husband and I are military veterans and have rarely been confronted with these kinds of things, we have to learn the hard way i guess.
