Description

The Museum grounds are open daily from 9am to 5pm and visitors can ride on classic streetcars, passenger trains and other historical equipment of the Southern California's railroad. Looking is free, riding costs a small fee per person for the whole day.

Founded in 1956, this is the largest operating railway museum in the West, with over 200 locomotives, passenger and freight cars, streetcars and interurban electric cars dating from the 1870s. Each weekend, visitors can ride a different historic train or trolley. Be sure to make a reservation at least two weeks ahead though. Besides holidays, special events are scheduled throughout the year.
