DO NOT USE Owen Basement and Foundation Repair:
Do not do business with Owen Basement and Foundation Repair. While stationed in Wisconsin for 4 years with the Army, I had hired a management company to manage my home. The management company e-mailed me in 2012 and told me I had a crack in my porch and recommended Owen Basement and Foundation Repair. I sent $6500 to the management company to have the repairs made. Owen did not perform the work to city code and get a city permit or a required engineer report at time of the work. Owen obtained a city permit approximately a year after the work was complete. Owen stated in his proposal he would cut away drive way, remove front step and driveway section, excavate to 3 feet below the porch footing, dig out pockets install concrete pads, steel jacks, jack up the foundation, install rebar and pour new footage, backfill and regrade the yard, pin with one half inch rebar and pave walk step and driveway section, tuck point mortar joints and calk openways as needed. Owen did not perform the work stated on the proposal. Owen made a horrible mess in the front yard. The main water line was broken. Owen Basement and Foundation Repair also stated a 10 year warrant which he did not honor. Do not use this contractor. Is this Owen and Basement and Foundation Repair way of welcoming home a Soldiers? See attached photos of work completed by Owen Foundation and Basement Repair.
