it was almost too good to be true: low prices, itemized receipts, quality work, attention to detail. If you are planning any type of remodel, you should definitely give papas handyman a call. However, plan ahead, he's booked weeks in advance, and I'm sure as the word gets out, it will be even more difficult to get on his schedule. papas handyman completed our basement finishing project which included several elements including electrical work, plumbing for a wet bar, hanging cabinets, moving washers/dryers, and adding a new exterior door and lights. He is completely flexible on the materials he uses, and had no problem allowing me to order certain items myself (ceiling tiles, hardwood flooring, faucet). He made excellent recommendations on vendors (discount on granite), flooring, light fixtures, and even paint colors. Being an old house, several small issues arose throughout the project that papas handyman handled with ease. He performs a lot of the work himself, as well as with a rotating staff of 4-5 people who were friendly and skilled workers, themselves. papas handyman communicates via email in near real-time, so issues and questions were quickly resolved. Since the project was based on a contract, schedule slips were not a major issue (for us, at least). People that have seen our new basement are floored by the quality of the workmanship. It's the small things, like multiple coats of paint and properly cut baseboards and trim that set it apart from rushed projects I've seen in the past.
