It's finally official. After teasing that Yardbird Southern Table & Bar was coming to the Palazzo, then the Venetian, word is finally out that the chicken restaurant from 50 Eggs Inc. out of Miami will open in the former Pinot Brasserie space in early 2015, right next to Daniel Boulud's brand-spanking new DB Brasserie.

That Yardbird Southern Table & Bar is coming to Las Vegas has been no secret for the past 14 months. After all, the restaurant from 50 Eggs out of Miami has said as much. The question has always been where?

Pinot Brasserie, the French bistro at the Venetian, shuttered quietly on Sunday night. Sitting next door to Daniel Boulud's DB Brasserie at the resort apparently proved too much competition with door-to-door French concepts fighting for guests.

The Back of the House Brawl returns to Tommy Rocker's this Saturday night with Eric Scott of Central Michel Richard at Caesars Palace taking on John Courtney, who is currently the sous chef at Pinot Brasserie but soon joins DB Brasserie at the Venetian.
