"You can't get out" of this "swimmingly good" UES smoked-fish bazaar without being offered a "generous" sample of the signature whitefish or lobster salad as you troll the "cramped" quarters for "wonderful appetizing" and other "high-quality" "Sunday morning" fixings; it's "worth the extra" coinage you pay for this level of "quality and freshness", but just "don't forget to bring your gold...

At this Upper East Side spot, you’ll find sensational smoked fish---from salmon, sable, whitefish and kippers to tuna and eel---along with fresh caviar, cold cuts and prepared to-go foods, including jumbo sandwiches and salads galore (the lobster salad and the shrimp cocktail are standouts). Kenny Sze, the owner, learned his craft at Zabar’s and it shows. A few tables offer seats for dining....
