Salem District Court

The First District Court of Essex County, more commonly known as the Salem District Court, maintains jurisdiction over Beverly, Danvers, Manchester by the Sea and Middleton as well as Salem. The court handles a number of different kinds of cases ranging from civil and criminal cases to small claims, restraining orders and civil motor vehicle infraction hearings.
