Simply the worst customer service in town.:
I run a small construction company in Seattle and chose to send a client to Seattle Door and Window for convenience. They were given a good price, but I had to really babysit the sales-person, because he had no clue about his product line. The order was filled behind schedule, and assembled wrong. I had to take several hours out of my workday to try to remedy the situation, driving the product back for an exchange. One of the doors was damaged--by me--in the interim, and after dropping off the incorrect order at their location, I was called and told to come pick up my (stuff). It was without question the rudest I've ever been treated by anyone in any sales profession. Looking to accept some culpability for bringing back the damaged item, I asked the owner/manager something to the effect of, "Yes I scratched the door, the wrong door, spending my time and effort to correct your mistake, how 'bout we split it?" I was told I'd have to pay full retail for another to exchange and wait over a week to have it hung, when earlier that day the salesman who helped me unload the damaged door said the replacement order would be ready in a day. I walked out with my incorrect, damaged doors, drove north to their competitor, and was treated to prompt and gracious customer service, for about a 15% premium. I will never shop Seattle Door and Window again. I will warn all of my customers and fellow tradespeople away from them. Windows and doors are a one time thing for most homeowners and the low up-front price is tempting, but its been my experience that Seattle Door and Window will cost you more in time and frustration than they could ever save in dollars.

Problem? Too damn bad!:
I had a significantly less that stellar experience with these guys. We went to the showroom, saw some nice 9-lite french doors, ordered it and then when the door arrived it just didn't look like the door in the showroom. The problem is that the showroom door was a 36" model and we ordered the 30" model. Where do you think they take that 6" out? Is it distributed evenly across the lites? Nope. They just make the center lites 6" narrower. This COMPLETELY changes the aesthetic of the door.

Had we known about this we would have ordered single lite doors. Nobody told us this bit of necessary info in advance. We offered to exchange for equivalent (and less expensive) single-lite doors at a loss. We offered to pay an additional restocking fee. No deal. They made their sale and now they are not the least bit interested in the follow-up. For a 4-digit item you'd think there'd be some concern there wouldn't you?

So beware - what you see is not necessarily what you get. And when that happens, you're screwed.

Poor Experience:
I 'special ordered' 15 doors and when they were delivered, I had 2 doors that were acceptable. When they re-ordered them, it took another 2 months to have them re-manufactured. When I inquired about the timeframe, they told me that my order was placed on the bottom of the order list.
