Tips

Parking:
Parking in Chinatown is both scarce and expensive. Take the Orange Line to the Chinatown station, or park in the Boston Common garage.

Know Before You Go:
Ask for extra soy sauce; you'll want to put most of your seasonings into the broth. For a more authentically Japanese experience, ask for sesame dipping sauce as well.

Editorial Reviews

"Culinary experiences" are made at these "interactive" Japanese hot-pot spots in Allston and Chinatown, where customers "dunk everything" (i.e. "fresh meats and veggies") in "awesome" boiling broths; with service that's mostly "friendly" and tabs that are "well priced", no surprise, you'll "typically find a line" filled with "large parties" waiting to get in.

by yahoolocal on January 13, 2016 from yahoolocal
Welcome to Shabu-Zen, Boston's home for personal, authentic, Asian "Hot-Pot" cuisine. Guests can choose from a variety of seafood and fine meats, which are served thinly sliced with a plate of fresh vegetables.

A variety of exotic garnishes and sauces are provided with each meal for dipping the seafood, meats and vegetables, after cooking them in one of our delightful homemade broths.
