Lots of good stuff!:
I got a gift bag when I signed up for training with Pet Obey. It was chock-full of wonderful articles, samples, DVDs, and other stuff. What I really appreciated was the article they included on the “development stages” that dogs go through as they grow. When my puppy started running away from absolutely everything, I knew from the article that it was just a phase in his normal development, and I didn’t need to worry. Thanks Pet Obey for helping to educate me in addition to my dog!

Excellent Training@:
I was an absolute basket case when I finally decided that my dog needed the “whole enchilada” (Pet Obey’s 8-week board and train program). My dog was more than fine, but I actually called after the first week and asked if I could please stop the training and pick her up; I missed her so desperately. Pet Obey’s staff were so compassionate! They had told me to expect second thoughts or “buyer’s remorse”, and that I might start thinking “she really isn’t that bad to warrant an 8-week program”. They reminded me of that conversation, and asked if I wanted to come and visit. (I had checked into other training companies that refused to let me visit at all during the training!) The first two weeks were definitely the hardest on me, but I’m so glad that I was able to move past my anxiety and didn’t pick her up when I started to cave. Trusting Pet Obey was the best decision I ever made for my dog, as I now have a wonderfully behaved member of my family rather than a menace to society. I’d especially like to thank their trainer, Tom, for all his hard work. It really paid off!

Beware of leaving your dog:
Beware before leaving your dog for training with Pet Obey. We scheduled our Golden Retriever for the 8 week training program. We were allowed to see our pet once a week for one hour per visit. We visited our Golden on the seventh day of the first week. Our dog was overweight, cowarding and came crawling toward us. We asked the owner why she was overweight after only seven days. The owner said that she was just "bloated". We were not allowed to go in the back yard area to see where the dogs were kept. We removed our dog from the program. When the dog got home we noticed the dog had blood in her stool. The Vet took a stool sample and said the blood in the stool was caused from excess stress. The dog had no health issues prior to the eleven days spent with Pet Obey. We would not recommend or suggest taking your dog to Pet Obey. Very disappointing experience. It is a shame that our dog had to endure the eleven days at this facility.
