My dog suffered while they talked money!!:
I brought my dog in after I had been treating him at home under the care of a vet (from another office) who had instructed what to do. When it seemed he wasn't getting better and was in extreme pain, my friend and I took him to this Vet ER Clinic. Upon arrival, my friend told them we had no money. They got my dog from the car and put him in a room. He lay on a table and after an examination the vet said he needed to be put to sleep. Then, an assistant was sent into the room to ask me about payment. I said (again) that I was on disability and wouldn't have money until next pay period. They kept asking me if I could call anyone for money (at midnight?) but I knew no one to ask. I had a ring that I'd had from better days that was worth $1,200. I handed it to the assistant and she went away to ask the vet if they could take it. She came back and gave me back the ring and said no, they couldn't take it for payment ($210.00). Then they came out with an application for credit. I filled out the form and then they ran it for an answer. It came back in the negative. They questioned me more. I said that I didn't know what to do and would not get money again until the 19th. They finally agreed to bill me after well over an hour of my dog lying on the table suffering! They were using my dog's suffering as their bargaining chip! Punish me, but NOT my DOG! They didn't care that an animal was lying there in extreme pain, while they grilled me for money they had already been told I did NOT have! I think this is a BAD place to take your animal, because they seem to care more about money than the care of animals!! What choice did I have, but to take my dog to a vet? Animals get sick whether, or not we have money and we are in a position of caring for them, what else can wedo, just let them suffer and die at home? It wasn't my dog's fault that I had hit hard times! This Vet ER clinic disgusts me!! DON'T GO THERE!! (I am only giving them a star at all, because I can'tpost the review w/o it!I give them a minus -100!!)
