Had a tattoo finished by Dave recently. Already had the outline done, but it was done by some one else (somewhere else) and it was pretty messed up. I remembered Dave's portfolio from a long time ago and how talented he is with refurbishing bad tattoos. So I decided to go to him to have it finished. There was a little bit of confusion in the process of making the appointment, but nothing major. Other than that, I arrived for my appointment, filled out the paperwork, and was finished after about an hour and 15 minutes. I was shocked at how quickly he got it done and I am EXTREMELY happy with the outcome. He did an amazing job and is overall a pretty funny guy when he warms a bit. I have also gotten 3 piercings and 3 other tattoos done here over the last 5 years, and I have never had a poor experience with ANY of the piercing people or tattoo artists. I have always been treated with respect and the overall atmosphere of the shop is great. When my friends or family ask me for advice on a tattoo shop, I always tell them to go to Studio X--so I highly recommend it to any one else as well! The only reason I didn't give "service" an excellent is because I have run into some attitude here and there in the past. It doesn't really bother me though because I have an attitude of my own. But it may bother others. I still recommend this place though, because the quality of the artists alone is stellar.

I have gotten over 7 tattoo there and almost all my friends and family go there for there for tattoos or piercings...Its the cleanest and most fairly priced shop I have seen. If you have a budget they will work with you.... And this is a award winning shop... The piercing is the highest quality and they don't charge a outrages price...ITS VERY FAIR....I wont go anywhere else

I've gotten four piercings from Studio x simply because they're cheap, but the price definitely shows. If you don't know a lot about piercings or you're getting a more difficult piercing, I wouldn't recommend going there. I've seen a lot of pictures on facebook of piercings they've done with incorrect bars, making them sure to reject. The jewelry quality isn't great and their aftercare recommendations are hardly great. They also continually fail to tell people what gauge their piercings are, which is something people kind of need to know. The people are really nice and the atmosphere is good, but there's not much else good about them.

If you're looking for a piercer in Vancouver, spare yourself the trouble and go to The Catalyst.

Honestly one of the most professional, clean tattoo shops I've ever been to. The atmosphere is great and the artists are so friendly and comfortable around the customers. Never have I ever had an artist bring me back to look at the sketch of my tattoo to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. In fact, it was MORE than I could have ever expected and the price was great. Best tattoo experience yet.
