Tips

Where to Sit: What the narrow dining space offers in ambiance it lacks in audibility. Grab a seat at one of the six sidewalk tables for cooler, quieter conversation.

When to Go: Some of the brunch dishes are particularly interesting. Stop by Saturday or Sunday to sample dishes like truffle egg toast, brie and mushroom frittata and butternut squash risotto.

Small plates, great wine list, romantic interior, but bad parking

Dark and Cozy Wine Bar:
Tasca has a selection of rich phenomenal food and tasy wines. The restaurant is dark, romantic and cozy; it's not good for parties or kids. Instead, it's more of a special occasion or date place. Although its literally a block away from AOC, it's a world away on the inside; it is decidedly not a scene place. Don't let this fool you; the service, food and prices are all great! The only problem is parking. 3rd street between La Cienega and Fairfax is probably the only stretch of road in LA with more valets than normal spots (which are typically poached by the valets.) Plan on either parking in one of the few spaces in the back or on a sidestreet by a meter and walking a block or two...but it's worth it!

The distinctly European vibe is carried throughout the menu; although Spain takes center stage, other Mediterranean influences are well represented. Crostini topped with delicate white anchovies,...
