The Texas Maritime Museum presents a chronicle of the state's history inside-and-out of the water. Some of the permanent exhibits detail the age of exploration and settlement, development, sport and commercial fishing and finally the art of shipbuilding. On occasion, visitors will find temporary exhibits which only last a few weeks or days at a time, but they are always thought-provocative....

The Txas Maritime Museum strives to present a compelling chronicle of the state's maritime history. Permanent exhibits include the LaSalle Odyssey, The Age of Steam, The First and second Texas Navies and an exhibit on Oil and Gas Exploration. Temporary exhibits last about 6-8 weeks at a time and are always different, check their website for the current exhibit program.
