Taken Advantage of.....:
I had to have my truck towed to this shop because of a broken ball joint. After getting there the shop says it will cost this ungodly amount to repair (actual quote He said about 1000.00, and amended it to 800.00 a couple minutes later). Because I only have money coming in ONCE a month from disablity the cost was outragious. So here I am after being told that the cost of the tow would be included with the mechanical work, I have to come up with how I am going to pay for the tow. The shop owner would not let the truck be placed in his lot, "Said he was going to start work on it immediately". With no money I was in a state of what am I going to do now?
The pickup was a 1995 Dodge Dakota Sport, in very good condition, well worth at least $1200.00 (KBB price was $3485.00). So stuck with no money, he offers to buy it because he knows he has me between a rock and a hard place. I have been unemployed for almost 4 years now, and used the truck to do hauling, and odd jobs to make a few dollars. This man took advantage of me, and got my truck for a mere $300.00!!!! He refused to work with me, and knew my state, and chose to take advantage of me instead of trying to work with me. I will be contacting wavy to let them get the word out about this company and how he works.
