Awful communication, not on time, and poor customer service:
This is my first time using a pool company to open my pool and what an awful experience it has been.

I set my appointment date and stayed home from work that day only to have no one show up. When I called they said it was a computer error and they would come back out the week after.

Again, the new appointment day comes, I take off of work, and again no one shows up. After I called they said it was a computer issue. Two times within a week having the same issue.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt because my neighbor recommended them, they also already charged me for the service before the first mistake so I figured I would just let it be.

Finally, on the THIRD rescheduled day they gave me a window of 12-4 for their arrival. They showed up close to 5PM. Luckily I was off this day already.

After calling, their defense for me being upset with having taken off work twice is that I did not have to be home. This was the manager telling me this, and offering no solution to the wasted two days of work in my end. Given this was my first pool opening service, I would have never known that because no one informed me.

I highly suggest you go elsewhere if you want a company who is organized and on time.

Awful customer service:
I scheduled to have a pool opening with The Pool Store May 2015. Their prices seemed very fair compared to the other pool companies in the area. Well I paid for it in many other ways. I wanted to get the pool open for my parents so they didn't have to do it. So on the day of the appointment they were 30 mins late when I given a 4 hour time frame, which I do understand that happens, but a phone call would be nice. When they did arrive the job they did was very poor. They didn't clean the cover nor did they fold it. They left the float in the pool that was used underneath the cover. I called up the store to let them know how their workers handled the opening and what I was told blew my mind. They told me that they did clean the cover and fold it which if they did clean it, it was done very poorly and they threw it in the corner. I had to deal with the owners daughter for over a week and they never returned any of my phone calls I had to keep reaching out to them. Then when I called back on Monday following not getting a return phone call from the owner which her daughter promised me would call me back Thursday night, I got a receptionist and she explained to me again that their employees did do all the work and that they do have a lot of jobs to do and can't always guarantee that they will do all the jobs with the same level of service. And as that was going on I hear the owner on the phone in the background telling her employee what to say instead of just getting on the phone with me.Very very poor customer service!! This company does not know how to treat their customers. Please use this as a reference for what you could be getting yourself into if you try and do business with these people. They don't care about you, they just care about your money!

Do not use the pool store!:
I would absolutely not recommend The Pool Store to anyone. I signed my contract in September of 2013 for a March 2014 install. Toni is very knowledgeable and she is very good at convincing you that they care about the customer, they only do a small amount of pools each year, and they do not move on to the next job until your job is complete. While they were relatively on time in regards to have the pool completed, they had some issues during the process that they are now blaming me and other contractors, regardless of proof that I have showing otherwise. They chipped the 3 day old concrete in multiple places as well as ruptured a return line while installing a ground water pump that should have been installed long before. This caused me to have to cancel my other concrete contractor because they needed to run a completely new line and dig again under the concrete in 2 places. While the line was leaking it caused the sidewall to wash out and place dirt under the liner as well as it caused a wrinkle in the shallow end. They promised again and again they were going to come and fix the issues but never did. I had to cancel the install of a safety fence after 3 weeks of being told someone was going to come out and measure, but never did. During the orientation they brought out the wrong skimmer attachment for the vacuum, I still have not seen the correct one after multiple requests. It is obvious that they don’t care once you finish paying and the water is in the pool. Toni lies and does not take accountability for her mistakes, she blames everyone else and makes it look like she is doing you a favor if she actually does fix it. I have active complaints with the BBB as well as the Division of Consumer Affairs. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Get out while you can.:
The owner Tony is the most ignorant person I've ever met. She has no problem taking your money, but its next to impossible to get the work done. Tony lies time after time. I was promised my pool would be completed by the holiday here it is the holiday and they haven't even started. When I called to find out why my job has not been started. I was cursed at by the owner. I've been self employed for 27 years and have never talked to a customer like she talked to me. my advice is run, run as fast as you can away from the pool store.
