It was recital night, and my daughter's BIG DAY! I walked into the Sweet Shoppe hoping to find her something special. The shoppe also carries nuts and my daughter is allergic to peanuts but she can still eat candy from the Sweet Shoppe or other candy shops that carry nuts. I wanted to buy her gummies which she absolutely loves. I asked the girl behind the counter if the gummie bears were safe to eat since I don't see them around nuts I figure they are safe. But I know it's best to ask. The older lady behind the counter curtly represents the Sweet Shoppe in such a way that everyone there is embarrassed. She turned toward me, looks at me and says, "Just don't buy anything from here!!!!! Nuts are everywhere and if her allergy is severe (she never asked me if it was severe), she shouldn't eat anything from here. So just don't buy anything!!!" There was absolutely no reason for her to treat me in this way. I wouldn't recommend buying anything here. She could have spoken to me nicer, I would have certainly understood if she thought it best not to buy anything from the store but her behavior was beyond rude.
