What a disappointment! Expected a great meal. Although service was good, my meal was undercooked. The price of $35 was steep for chicken (no rice or pasta on the side, only a few shreds of vegetable and a delicious sauce). Also, at the wine tasting prior to dinner, I was surprised that one of the reserve wines had not been aged yet it was poured. I do not regard Herzog's restaurant and the wine tasting to be representative of a fine establishment that would make certain that patrons have a memorable experience encouraging them to return.

At this "unique", "upscale" kosher restaurant in Oxnard's Herzog winery, the kitchen puts out "fabulous" dairy-free Med cuisine matched with "excellent wines" (tours and tastings are also available); service is "excellent", and the "lovely ambiance" is "great for a date", especially if you sit on the terrace; P.S. hours are limited, so call ahead.
