Tips

Known as an upscale night spot that uses some of the best local ingredients, brunch at the Trace is a delicious, affordable, and relatively casual affair. The shrimp and grits are amazing.

Trace's pastry chef, Janina O'Leary, was a recent semi-finalist for a James Beard Award - and it shows. Her desserts are downright cruel, because though you want to eat every last one, your gastrointestinal system simply won't allow it. No matter: Just remember to order her fantastic "Drunken Donuts" with spiked dipping sauces, and try to share with your friends.
