Whether it's a distressed outfit for the next punk show, ancient t-shirts, accessories from the dark side, or denim and leather that makes you feel way cool, Trash & Vaudeville remains one of NYC's premier locations for vintage clothes. The staff are legendary, and actually quite eager to please. A must-visit, even for window shoppers.
"Goths and metalheads aren't the only ones diving into the fun, flirty and fatal fashions" – this "piece of punk rock history" on St. Marks Place is also a "must-stop" for teens trolling for "cutting-edge" styles; kick out the jams with "Ramones" T-shirts, walk this way in "novel" platforms or channel Blondie with a vinyl mini – whatever you buy, it'll be "something downtown."
Though Jorge from the punk band the Casualties is no longer fitting young punks with creepers, this two-for-one shop still puts the fashion in fashion punk. Standard in anti-establishment gear, but it's all about how you rock it: whether you're into super-tight bondage pants or the dominatrix-inspired frock, everyone loves a little trash with a hint of Vaudeville.
