Hired Dave to sand and stain my deck. He sanded the deck beautifully. He stained about a quarter of the deck and when my husband and I refused to pay him any more money until he completed the job, he abandoned the job. We haven't heard from him since. He received a deposit on May 19, 2018, and started shortly thereafter. We gave him two more payments. He was always begging for more money even when he had not completed a lot of work. He said he needed it to pay his bills. When additional payments were refused, he abandoned the job. This was in July. My husband and I have reached out to Dave, but with no success and no return phone call. It is August 1, 2018, and a quarter of the deck is stained. To add insult to injury, the staining he did looks awful. The stain was applied heavy in some areas and light in other areas. I would not recommend Tri County Hardwood Floors By Dave Wedge at all and I'm so glad we didn't pay him in full. Very disappointing. Big lesson learned.
