Westerly tire took a working a/c system with a very small leak so they said . The a/c worked we are the only owners of the car and never had a problem with the a/c . He said the a/c accumulator hose was leaking and should be replaced . Westerly found this while we had the car in getting the cam shaft seal replaced. I asked how much to repair and he said about 90 for part and 95 for the system to be evacuated and recharged plus labor about an hour. I said I'm not that worried about this problem but if that is all it will be go for it . I then said if it is going to be any more than that don't touch the a/c just do the cam shaft seal. The a/c was working fine. Westerly said okay. I later get a call stating that the a/c repair is going to be around $400.00 dollars because the accumulator has to be replaced at the same time as the hose . I told him no to the repair . He said we have the a/c system apart already . Well that is not my fault .If you look up my car and the a/c hose that is needed. There is a foot note that states need accumulator with new hose. So if Westerly tire would have investigated the car and the parts first like a shop should . Then Westerly could have called me I still would have said no. Then left my a/c system intact. Instead westerly took it apart then put it back together with the old parts and gave the car back to us with no refrigerant in the system and no working a/c . When we tried to get them to fix the system that they took apart and made to stop working. Westerly said all he would do is replace the refrigerant in the system.. We let him recharge the a/c system and are now waiting to see if it will hold. We have started looking in to other avenues to restore our car to Pre-Westerly condition.
