The Wilbur D. May Museum is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Wilbur May, a Reno rancher, world traveler, and philanthropist. The museum houses a large collection of rare and exotic artifacts and animals from around the world. We also host traveling exhibitions, art shows, and other events throughout the year.
Having traveled around the world more than 40 times, Wilbur May amassed an astounding collection of artifacts. He was a philanthropist and left a marvelous legacy for generations to enjoy. His collection includes T'ang Dynasty pottery, primitive African treasures and Egyptian artifacts and a genuine shrunken head.
