I signed up for a refresher course and paid for 8 hours plus a truck rental for the test. If I calculate all the time I spent being trained, it may at best add up to one and a half hours. There were times when I know there were no instructors even there, just the manager that was often in the office doing paperwork; I would imagine. The equipment was not even road worthy other than the truck you took for a test drive. I could go on and on, but I should suggest you speak with other students if you visit the school, that if they would allow you. And the worst part is when I ask for more time they wanted to charge me or I can give a video testimony about how good the school is, and they will give me an extra hour. I will remind you that on their website it states if you need more time they will give to you without charging because they are concerned for their students. (Don't you believe it.) I paid out of my pocket and losing that money was tough. Please do your homework and investigate as thoroughly as you possibly can. Another suggestion would be to sit outside and watch how often there are just students out there training themselves the best they can. Good Luck!!

Was offered a 1 day refresher course for $500. I was conned into thinking that I would get intensive 1 on 1 training and that I would be able to pass the CDL test. Because I lived out of state, I was a good victim. Was basically left alone in truck most of the day by myself. Had 3 official instructors and 2 guys who were hanging around the yard. Each person gave a different set of instructions. Never made it out of the yard, but was promised before hand that we would hit the road.

The yard is very busy which simulates real world situations. There is 1 (possibly 2) trucking companies and a diesel garage operating out of the same small yard. It is very congested and there is a lot of traffic in and out. Very intimidating for a new student left in a truck.

I filed a complaint with my credit card company and had my money refunded. I wish I had seen some of the other current negative reviews before I signed up.

This place is a money grab. If you really want some decent training and not just a CDL, go elsewhere

I just attended this school recently and all I have to say are good things. I passed my driving and written test with flying colors. I highly recommend this school for your training needs. The set up of their yard is the best one I have seen. I had one tractor trailer to myself the whole day practicing and had plenty of time to perfect my driving. As soon as I passed my written and driven tests from dmv, I had job offers at three different companies. I would like to thank Winsor’s for turning my life around with this opportunity.

Paid $900 for 8 hours of instruction. Scheduled for a Saturday and was left, practically, alone in the truck the entire day. At the end of the day the school rep told me, "you'll be alright." School offered option to upgrade but declined to upgrade after failing the road test and told me "it's better to schedule classes during the week, because instructors are around during the week." Beware of Winsors. There are other schools out there - do your homework and stay away from Winsors.
